I’m a problem solving leader currently making the communications and marketing function for a healthcare company in England my business.
I have been working since I was 11 when I decided I wanted to be a journalist. After ‘beating the local press at its own game’ and winning an award for improving communication in my hometown of Rubery, Worcestershire I took a detour.
I hung up my notepad and pen to pay the bills while I was at college, taking on running a coffee shop for a national chain, teaching kids about web design and generally fixing the problems I’ve found along the way instead.
Since 2011 I’ve been focused on helping businesses – in healthcare, transport and technology – tell their stories.
I’ve blogged on and off since 2004 although you won’t find much evidence of the early stuff. A poor attitude to backups and a thunderstorm in 2009 has made sure of it.
I’m a one-time self-published eBook author on Amazon and George Galloway once threatened to sue me. I like black, red and white.
I’m a capricorn, I spend far too much time on trains and consume audio content faster than a broken tape deck.
You can find me (or my alter-ego, depending on how you see it) at @nicparkes.
